Weird Twists & Turns

I'm on page 70something of the radically revised Mordiscado. I've killed off Alex (the protagonist's husband)...he should have known better than to drive drunk, especially in Albuquerque. Zoe placed a Virgin Mary candle on Alex's grave and poured a fifth of Jack Daniels over it and got in her rental car and took off for the mountains of Northern California. She stops in Bakersfield for the night and is in a cheap motel room reading a book entitled Writing Ain't For Pussies. The phone rings. That's where I left off. I'm going to give Zoe a cabin in the snow and solitude. She's going to write her ass off. Then some random character will check into the Inn of the Rainbow in Albuquerque and find Zoe's novel in the bookcase. I'll end the novel with a shiny happy conservative Christian family moving into the haunted house in Albuquerque. Prayers will fail them.

Good to hear from you. Funny, was just dipping into Pretty Red Berries after a busy day at the office and very enjoyable to come home to it was.

Try and stay cool literally...

Keep in touch.
